When performing a risk assessment for safety footwear, some points you may want to consider are:

Is there a risk of falling objects? All safety shoes should have toe cap protection - steel or composite.

Is there a risk of sharp objects penetrating the sole of the shoe? Choose a shoe or boot with steel or composite midsole protection.
